Alice Lloyd Baseball plays at Union College
Barboursville, Ky: On March 19th, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles baseball team faced a solid Union College Bulldog squad on the road. The hosts would jump out quickly and roll to a 25-6 win in seven innings. ALC's record now stands at 13-15 while UC moves to 12-14.

The Bulldogs jumped out quickly in the opening inning with a three-run blast (3-0). Later, an error and a double delivered four more runs to make the score 7-0.
In the second, a sacrifice fly, followed by a single from Ryan Cozart (2B), led to a pair of runs for ALC (7-2). However, UC would answer back.
Union would reel off six runs in the bottom of the inning, powered by a homerun, single, sacrifice fly and walk. The home squad now led 13-2.
Two innings later, the Barboursville team unleashed a massive inning. A double, four singles, two walks, and a wild pitch led to a windfall of twelve runs. Suddenly, the score stood at 25-2.
The Pippa Passes posse dented the scoreboard in the fifth as a two-run double from TJay Mullins (LF) plus a long sacrifice fly produced a trio of scores (25-5). They added another mark in the sixth when Eric Williams (1B) singled in a teammate to make the score 25-6.
However, the deficit was simply too great to overcome, as that tally would stand until the final out.
For the contest, ALC recorded 9 hits, with Cozart's pair of singles and Mullins's 2-run double leading the way.
On the other side, Union smacked 18 hits with two homers, four doubles, and twelve singles.
On the mound, Chase Conley started and went .2 inning, giving up 4 hits and 5 earned runs.
Gibbs Cochran, Matthew Hebar, JT Griswold, Sunny Smith, and Jacob Ayers also made appearances on the mound, combining to give up 14 hits and 17 earned runs, with 7 strikeouts.
In addition, neither squad stole a base, and the visitors had one fewer error, 3-2.
