Inside Power Lifts Alice Lloyd to 82-69 Victory Over Ohio Christian University on Senior Day

Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Eagles senior trio of Will Philpot, Colyn Sturgill, and Damon Tobler proved too hard to handle as they combined for 50 points and 28 rebounds, andpropelled the homestanding ALC Eagles to a nice 82-69 Senior Day victory over the visiting Ohio Christian University Trailblazers. The matchup took place on Saturday, February 11th, at the Perry Campus Center on "Coach J" court.

The Eagles came out of the gate strong. The big three scored fifteen of their clubs eighteen points during the first five minutes, and opened the game on a 18-6 run.

The advantage would reach eighteen (29-11) with 11:22 remaining before OCU began to fight back. Sparked by the shooting of guard Cassius Bell, Ohio would get within eight, at 29-21.

Once more, the senior power players would take over to help the Caney Creek club pull back out to a double-digit lead. ALC would sprint back ahead, 48-31, and would settle for a 48-38 advantage at intermission.

This hoop gave the hometown boys an insurmountable 76-65 cushion, and they sealed the deal by swishing six consecutive charity tosses to earn the key victory.
