Alice Lloyd Participates in River States Conference Golf Fall Preview
FLORENCE, Ind. -- Midway (Ky.) University put together a strong round over the final 18 holes Tuesday to pull away for the team title at the 2022 River States Conference Men's Golf Fall Preview. They opened up with a 314 over the first 18 holes. The Eagles shot 300 on Tuesday for a total of 611 and claimed the fall preview title for the third year in a row.
Jake Miller from IU East was the individual winner of 61 participants. He opened up with a 1-under 70 and carded a 75 in the final round for a two-shot victory at 3-over 145.
The scores from this week's fall preview will contribute to the all-conference selections that are made in the spring. When combined with the rounds that are played at the RSC Championship, the RSC First & Second Teams will be determined.
The Alice Lloyd Eagles opened Monday with a 364, then lowered it to a 347 on Tuesday. They would finish with a total score of 711, for the 11th position.
For the event, ALC was paced by Mason Compton, who shot 91-79 for a 170. He finished in a tie for 38th. Korey Hanson, fired an 82-92 to finish with a 174 score, which tied him for 43rd.
Other finishers included: Jacob Rowe (178), Hayden Halbert (189), and Chase Petry (204).
Next up for the Eagles golf team is the Roane State Invitational in Oak Ridge (TN) on October 17th-18th.
