Alice Lloyd College Golf Competes at Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout

Elizabethton, TN: The Alice Lloyd Eagles Golf Team journeyed to the Volunteer state on April 11th to participate in the Northeast Tennessee Spring Shootout, held at the Elizabethton, Golf Course (TN).

Fourteen men's squads and sixty-four individuals took to the links as all thirty-six holes were played on Tuesday. When the dust had settled, Roane State (TN) had earned the men's title by five strokes over Milligan College (TN).

For ALC, five members of the men's team competed. The Eagles shot 328 the first round, led by freshman Jacob Rowewho recorded an 80, The squad then shot 336 the second round,led by junior Mason Compton, who fired a 76. For the event, the club finished with a combined score of 664, for 12th place.

Below are the results for the Caney Creek crew:

Jacob Rowe shot 80/77 for 157 to finish tied for 35th.

Mason Compton shot 80/77 for 157 to finish tied for 35th. 

Chase Petry shot 81/95 for 176 to finish 59th.

Isaac Bowen shot 86/91 for 177 to finish 60th.

Shad Sauvage shot 89/92 for 181 to finish 61st.

 

The Eagles will conclude their season on April 16-18th in the River States Conference Championship, scheduled for Belterra Golf Course, in Florence, IN.
