ALC Women and Men's Golf open 2025 season in Maggie Mountain Invite

Prestonsburg, KY: On September 8th-9th, the Alice Lloyd College golf teams traveled to Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg to participate in the 2025 Maggie Mountain Invite. Six women's squads with 29 participants and fifteen men's squads with 81 participants battled over two days. 

 For the ladies, Northwestern Ohio was the overall team champion, winning in a solid performance. Individually, for the Lady Eagles, Cayden Anderson was the lone representative, and she finished with a two-day total of 215, good for 24th Place.

In the men's event, the University of Pikeville would win the event by seven strokes (+22). ALC would find themselves in 11th place, producing a two-day total of 658 (+98).

Individually overall, the Eagles were led by Gabe Johnson, who fired a score of 78 each day to finish in 32nd place, with a two-day total of 156 (+16). He was closely followed by Bryson Bartley, who was three strokes behind at 159 (+19), to tie for 45th Place.

The duo were followed by Riley Newsome who shot a 171 (+31), Brady Bentley at 173 (+33), and Caleb Justice at 180 (+40).
