Alice Lloyd Soccer Concludes Regular Season

Pippa Passes, KY: On October 31st, the Alice Lloyd Eagles soccer team played host to the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers on Mullinax Field. In a tight defensive battle, OCU would pull out the 2-0 win.

The game was even throughout the first half as both squads battled toe-to-toe. Finally, Ohio scored at 21:43 to take a 1-0 lead.

Then, at 25:33, they managed a second goal. Both teams would attempt five shots in the first half, and intermission would arrive with the visitors leading 2-0.

In the second half, the defense was solid, as neither club could break through. ALC got off five more shots, but none found pay dirt, and the game ended with the score unchanged.

On the day, the home club was limited to 13 shots compared to the Trailblazers' 14. The Ohio club had 3 corner kicks compared to the Eagles'. The hosts led in fouls, 5-3.

On offense, ALC came up empty with just four shots on goal. Defensively, ALC goalie Joseph Westphal registered 5 saves. 

The Eagles (4-7-2) now await the start of Mideast Regional play. They return to action on Thursday, November 3^rd, awaiting the seeding results.
