Alice Lloyd Soccer Falls at Ohio Christian University, 5-3

Circleville, OH: On November 6th, the Alice Lloyd Eagles soccer team journeyed to the Buckeye state to face the home-standing Ohio Christian University Trailblazers. In a tough matchup, the hosts prevailed, 5-3.

The Eagles were flat early and OCU made them pay. The hosts would score goals at 8:57, 11:00, and 30:50 and race out to a 3-0 advantage.

The Kentucky boys finally answered in the 31st minute when Maddux Camden scored on an unassisted goal. However, halftime would still show the visitors trailing, 3-1.

The second half saw Camden come through once more as he kicked a big shot into the net at 56:21. Suddenly, the Caney Creek crew only trailed 3-2.

Things would get really interesting when Sawyer Crum lined a ball in the net at 73:27. Just like that, the score was knotted at 3-3.

However, the Ohio club would respond with a successful kick at 81:12 to move ahead, 4-3. Then, they added a huge insurance goal at 88:34 to gain more separation, 5-3. The game would end with the score unchanged.

On the day, a big difference was shots. The Royals (2-14-3) had 29, compared to the Eagles 10. Three yellow cards also hurt the Eagle (3-11-2) cause.

At goalie, Eli Hayton blocked 11 shots while allowing 5 goals. On offense, Camden led the way with his double scores, while Crum added the other goal.

In addition, ALC also had 3 yellow cards, while the home club played penalty-free ball. Both squads committed 10 fouls
