ALC Track and Field opens Spring 2026 season at Myrtle Beach Collegiate Championships
Conway, South Carolina: The Alice Lloyd College Women and Men's Track and Field squad opened the 2026 season by traveling to the Palmetto State to participate in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Championships, hosted by Costal Carolina University.
The Challenge was held on March 13-14th. There was 1100+ athletes representing 61 teams from 15 states. Athletes competed in either the Collegiate or Open divisions.
After the competition had concluded, the big performer for the Eagles was Gerald Bentley. In the Open High Jump, he cleared 1.85 meters to take First Place. This impressive leap also qualified him for the NCCAA Nationals.

Rose Scotello: Collegiate Shotput: Threw 9.03 meters: 38th place.
Collegiate Discus: Threw 27.49 meters: 41st place.
Collegiate Javelin: Threw 27.68 meters: 20th place.
Natulie Mason: Collegiate Javelin: Threw 18.44 meters: 48th place.
Open High Jump: No height. The height started out at 1.4 meters.
Amber Stevens: Collegiate Shotput: Threw 8.63 meters: 41st place.
Collegiate Discus: Threw 21.46 meters: 51st place.
Collegiate Javelin: Threw 24.34 meters: 32nd place.
Chelsi Riffe: Open High Jump: Jumped 1.4 meters: Tied for 8th place.
