Alice Lloyd Eagles Cross Country participates in Spoon Fiercely Faithful XC Meet at Asbury University
Wilmore, KY: The Alice Lloyd Eagles women and men's cross-country teams traveled to central Kentucky on Saturday, September 27th to participate in the Spoon Fiercely Faithful XC Meet at Asbury University
The weather conditions were challenging as 46 women from 10 different college/ universities and 47 men from 9 different institutions left the starting line in 80 degree heat on a course that went through the country over rolling hills.
On the day, the Lady Eagles had four runners tackle the longer 6K trail. Corinne Chamber crossed the finish line in a time of 33:11 (32nd place). She was followed by Audrey Evans in 39:28 (42nd), Alyssa Allen in 45:48 (43rd) and Abigail Collins in 49:55 (46th).
On the men's side of the equation, three runners would complete the 8K race. Nathaniel Kiser finished in 23rd place, with a time of 33:29. This qualifies him for the NCCAA DII National Tournament later this year.
In addition, Gabriel Maggard completed the course in 34:58 (32nd) while Marvin Brown finished in 43:29 (46th).
