The Georgia club took the opener in five innings.

Things remained the same until the fourth. In that inning, the Barons launched a two-run blast that made the score 7-0.

In the fifth, Brewton rode a double and pair of singles to plate a trio of runs. Now, the score read 10-0.

Down to their last chance, the Bluegrass squad did place a runner on base with a two-out walk, but the final batter grounded out to end the contest.

At the plate, Baker and Rachel Rife had the only two Eagle hits of the day.

Kinna Justice suffered the loss on the mound. She went 4.2 innings, allowing 10 hits and 9 runs ( 4 earned runs). Arin Rife pitched to the final three batters, allowing 1 run.

ALC scored twice in their final at-bat to win a pitchers duel in thrilling fashion.

The hosts put a run on the scoreboard in the second. In that inning, they utilized a double and single to move ahead 1-0. From there, pitching dominated and the scoreboard remained unchanged.

Eventually, the contest moved to the seventh and final inning. Down to their last opportunity, the Pippa Passes posse rallied. Things started when Mckenzie Orfield (3B) singled. Then, after an out, Jordan Rakes (RF) laced a single of her own. Later after a fielder's choice led to the second out, Briley Aidala delivered a clutch single up the middle to bring home two runs. Suddenly, ALC led 2-1.

Now, down to their final chance, the Rams produced a two-out single and looked to tie. Happily, for the blue and white, the final batter grounded out to give the Kentucky crew the exciting victory.
