Columbus, IN: On Wednesday, September 10th the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles (0-3) journeyed to the Hoosier state to tackle the Indiana University Columbus Crimson Pride in soccer action . The Bluegrass ladies dropped a 14-0 decision
IUC struck quickly, denting the scoreboard at the 3:40 mark. They would produce their second score at 16:54 (2-0).
From there the Crimson Pride would deliver four more shots through the net in the final eight minutes of the half, and this propeled the host club to a 6-0 cushion by intermission.
In the second half, the Indiana club spread out eight more sucessful kicks to add to their lead as they closed out the match to run their record to 1-2-1 .
For the match, the hosts fired 67 shots compared to the Lady Eagles 1, and led in corner kicks 3-1.
Pippa Passes goalie Abby Maynard did register 19 saves.
The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday, September 9, when they return home to face Toccoa Falls, Georgia. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
