Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles Soccer drops close decision to Toccoa Falls

Pippa Passes, KY:  On Wednesday, September 10th the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles (0-4) returned home to face the Toccoa Falls Eagles (GA). The Bluegrass ladies put up a good fight before succoming to TF, 4-0.

The visiting Eagles stuck first, gaining their first point at 15:24 (1-0). Then, at 26:32, the visitors would manage another goal. They would go into intermission nursing a 2-0 lead.

 In the second half, the defense was solid  by both squads until the Georgia club came through with an important score at 65:42. This gave them a 3-0 advantage.

The Pippa Passes squad had a good shot to chip into the lead from Brylan Adkins, but it came up short. From there, the visitors would add a late score at 78:20 that gave them more insurance (4-0), and the contest would end with the scoreboard favoring Toccoa.

For the match, the victors (2-3) fired 12 shots including 8 shots-on-goal compared to the Lady Eagles 2 shots and 1 shot-on-goal. They also led in corner kicks 3-1. 

Pippa Passes goalie Abby Maynard did record 4 saves.
