Alice Lloyd Volleyball drops home decision to Kentucky Christian University
Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team opened the 2025 home portion of their season by facing the Kentucky Christian Lady Knights on Tuesday, August 26th. The Caney Creek crew would drop the contest in four close games.

The Eagles (1-2) would fall in four tight sets to KCU (1-0).
In game 1, the hosts jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead and held it the bulk of the match. Later, leading 20-14, the Eagles saw the visitors roll off a quick 5-0 burst to get within one (20-19). From there, the Caney Creek crew regrouped to close on a 5-2 run and win, 25-21.
Game 2 saw a close battle throughout as the score was tied numerous times. Eventually, with the Knight nursing a 19-17 lead, they used a 6-3 ending to take the game, 25-20.
Game 3, saw the Caney Creek bunch hang close early, only trailing, 6-5. However, KCU then rolled off a 7-1 blitz to sprint ahead 13-6. From there, the score never got closer than five points the remainder of the way as the Grayson team won, 25-16.
Game 4 saw the squads battle evenly in the all-important set. The home crew would hold a 15-14 advantage just past the midway point, but KCU managed to unload a key 6-0 burst to suddenly lead, 20-14.
With their backs against the wall, the Pippa Passes posse responded by delivering a nice 8-3 run of their own to only trail 23-22, forcing a Knight timeout.
Unfortunately, ALC committed an error on their next possession, then saw the guests record a kill to end the match, 25-22.
On the day, Callie Butler and Rose Scotello led the club with 9 and 6 kills respectively. Peyton Taylor and Layla Peterson dished out 12 and 11 assists. Gracie Gibson produced 34 big digs while Jadyn Hall, delivered a pair of aces.
