Alice Lloyd Volleyball remains hot, earn two more wins in Buckeye State to run streak to five
Once the last ball had been spiked, the Bluegrass ladies would head home with a nice pair of wins, giving them a five-game winning streak and eight wins in their last nine matches. This pushes their record to 9-3.
Match 1
ALC-3; Miami Hamilton-0
The Eagles would have a tussle on their hands but come through in the clutch with the big plays to win the opener in straight sets.
In game 1, the contest was close throughout, but Miami Hamilton looked home-free, creeping out to a 23-21 lead and forcing a timeout from the East Kentucky crew. However, after the timeout, ALC rallied, fighting back with four consecutive points to win, 25-23.
Game 2 saw the Caney Creek crew grab a lead and slowly build on it. Although the Buckeye squad would keep things tight, the blue and white would maintain the momentum and win 25-19.
Game 3, saw the Bluegrass ladies come out determined to end things and they roared out to a 14-4 advantage. Although the Harriers (0-5) would respond and cut the deficit to three (19-16), the Pippa Passes posse would not be denied, closing with a 6-1 blitz to seal the match, 25-19.
