Bio
Kayla Moore VanHoose begins her third year as Alice Lloyd Head Volleyball Coach. She brings 15+ years of experience to the table, serving as a high school head coach, club head coach, and club director/owner.
She is the current owner and director of Bluegrass Volleyball Academy, the first established club in Eastern Kentucky. She and her stepdaughter Taylor founded BVA in 2018 and have made huge strides for the game of volleyball in the region. BVA has sent dozens of Eastern Kentucky athletes to play at the collegiate level and continues to impact the area today.
Coach VanHoose began her coaching career at her alma mater, Sheldon Clark High School, with a stop at Johnson Central. Along with her coaching career, Kayla has served Johnson Central as a Sports Information Director, the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches as their Technology and Media Director, andthe Associate Game Director of the historic Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Game.
Coach VanHoose’s mission is to grow the ALC Volleyball program and make a difference by loving and serving the youth in Pippa Passes. Kayla and her husband, J.R., reside in Paintsville, KY.
