Alice Lloyd Eagles Cross Country participates in Mike and Mary Kay Johnson Classic at Berea College
Berea, KY: The Alice Lloyd Eagles women and men's cross-country teams traveled to the Berea on Saturday, September 13th to participate in the Mike and Mary Kay Johnson Classic.
The weather conditions were favorable as 46 women from 8 different college/ universities and 51 men from 8 different institutions toed the starting line on a course that went through a stretch of woods and across a creek.
On the day, the Lady Eagles had three runners tackle the 5K trail. Miley Back crossed the finish line in a time of 28:09 (40th place). She was followed by Audrey Evans in 29:21 (43rd) and Abigail Collins in 37:21 (45th).
On the men's side of the equation, two runners would complete the 8K race. Gabriel Maggard completed the course in 35:42 (43rd) while Marvin Brown finished in 42:15 (50th).
