Circleville, OH: On September 4th, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles traveled to Buckeye country to face the Ohio Christian Trailblazers in soccer action. The Bluegrass boys scored a late goal to earn the 3-3 tie.
The contest remained scoreless until the 17:46 mark when OCU broke the ice with a score to lead, 1-0.
At 20:31 ALC's Dylan Moore made a nice pass to Maddux Camden, and he placed the ball perfectly into the net to knot up the score, 1-1.
However, the host club would connect at 31:45 to regain the lead, and they would take that 2-1 advantage into the dressing room at halftime.
In the second half, at 55:25, Camden stuck once more for the Kentucky crew, this time producing the game-tying goal on a assist from Luis Sarabia. Now, the scoreboard read 2-2.
The status-quo remained unchanged for the next twenty minutes, but Ohio Christian finally came up with a critical score at that juncture. Now, the home club led 3-2, and only had to preserve their lead to gain the win.
For over ten minutes, they were able to do just that, and appeared to be heading for the victory. Happily, the Eagles would have none of that. With just 1:01 remaining in the contest, Sarabia brought the Pippa Passes posse to their feet when he went solo to achieve a monster goal. This made the score 3-3, and the match would end in a tie.
On the day, the Pass fired 12 shots, compared to OCU's 8, while the home team led in corner kicks, 2-1. Ohio (1-1-1) led in saves, 6-3.
Pippa Passes goalie Kalin Schneider went the distance, allowing 3 goals with 3 saves.
Offensively, Camden delivered 2 goals and 1 assist while Sarabia produced a score and a goal as well. Moore chipped in with an assist.
ALC (1-0-2) returns to action on Monday, September 4th, when they host Kentucky Christian University. Game time is set for 7:30pm.
