Alice Lloyd Soccer takes control early, defeat Kentucky Christian Knights, 4-3

Pippa Passes, KY – The Alice Lloyd College Eagles held off a late rally from the Kentucky Christian University Knights to earn a 4-3 home victory on Monday, September 8th.

The first half belonged to the Eagles. At the 12:29 mark, Bryan Amador scored the opening goal on an assist from Alex De Wolfe. Later, at 33:00, Dylan Moore dribbled through the KCU defense and finished with a strong shot to give ALC a 2-0 advantage at the break.

The Eagles extended their lead in the second half when Maddux Camden scored in the 56th minute, making it 3-0. The Knights answered in the 61st minute with a goal from Jeremy Alig, but the Eagles quickly responded. At 68:00, Moore set up Camden for his second goal of the night, pushing the lead to 4-1.

Alig kept KCU in the match with two late goals in the 78th and 86th minutes to complete his hat trick and bring the Knights within one. However, the Eagles closed out the match to secure the 4-3 win.

For the game, ALC outshot KCU 26-11 and held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Kalin Schneider played all 90 minutes, recording one save while allowing three goals.

Offensively, Camden led the Eagles with two goals, while Moore added one goal and one assist. Amador contributed one goal, and De Wolfe tallied an assist.

The Eagles (2-0-2) return to action on Tuesday, September 16th, when they host The Institute of God (Nashville, TN) at 7:00 PM.
